We must make the choices that enable us to fulfill the deepest capacities of our real selves

So good! But during the drinking and using years I wasn’t in touch with my authentic self. The void in my spirit left me hungry for more, but what was I missing? Being a person of faith, I was disappointed and angry at the God of my youth who seemed silent during the broken decades of addictions and loss. I tried to fill it with pills and booze, believing the lie of the bottle that told me I wasn’t hurting anyone, just one more drink and then I’ll stop…..How’d I get from being a broken man with no hope to the person I am today? Clean and sober since 1/10/2017? The miracle of detox and my lasting sobriety has taught me that we all have this authentic self that resides deep within our spirit. We were each created and called by name with dignity and value by the Creator. This God of unconditional Love sent His son Jesus to show us the way. Each of you has a destiny written on your heart. Today, may you dig deep into your spirit and connect with the God of creation. For we are called his Beloved, the children of the almighty God. Let us love one another, for love is from God!
