Happiness is not a goal; it is a by-product - Eleanor Roosevelt

Prior to finding lasting sobriety on 1/10/17, I wasn’t experiencing happiness in my life. In fact, I had lost all hope that my spirit would ever find happiness, let alone joy. The beautiful expression of my sober journey is that Eleanor’s quote resonates well with my soul. My inner being has been touched by Jesus’ grace and mercy! Redemption & restoration has come to my house and my life will never be the same. Gratitude anchors my faith foundation. I like what Colossians 3:15 TPT says, “Let your heart be always guided by the peace of the Anointed One, who called you to peace as part of his one body. And Always Be Thankful!” This is the prescription for a life surrendered to the Creator. Peace!! I love this! Is that not a core part of the gospel? This peace is a free gift to those who are one with God the father! Thankfulness for the gift of life is the common thread that unites all my experiences and the truth as I’m experiencing it reminds me that in Christ my life is complete. To be sober is life giving, to be saved by Grace is life affirming and to be filled with Peace is life living, all are reflections of the work of the Gospel in my life. Today may you receive the truth that Gratitude unlocks the Spirit in you to receive the unconditional Love of Jesus!
