Event: Official release of Jason Umidi's "Jesus + Seltzer" book, celebrating and reflecting on the sober lifestyle
MC: Anthony Bovino, will welcome guests, introduce Jason and provide an opportunity for Jason and Luis to share their brief testimonies about addiction and their personal experience with recovery and sobriety
Book publicist: Fred Anderson, Fred Anderson Media
Ticketing: admission is complimentary. Registered guests will receive a complimentary copy of the book up to the first 100 guests.
Check in table: there will be a guest list for those checking in and to receive their book
T-Shirt and Book Sales: an oportunity to purchase official T-Shirts and books. Attached is the image of the T-shirt, designed by Daniel Bashata.
Book signing: Jason will sign books for guests.
Food trucks: there will be 2-3 food trucks where guests can purchase food or enjoy any of the restaurants at Trilith
Entertainment: Renowned Flamenco guitarist, Luis Banuelos, will come from Austin to entertain guests with his musical gift
Rain contingency: in the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved to The Shipyard, which is one of the film stages at Trilith
Description: The Weight of Ink is proud to present the official release of Jason Umidi's book "Jesus + Seltzer", a collection of meditations and stories intended to inspire hope in both addicts and alcoholics in recovery as well as the sober curious. Based on the author’s personal, raw and hopeful journey from decades of addiction to the freedom of sobriety, “Jesus + Seltzer” reflects on and celebrates the sober lifestyle in a pocket-sized, easy-to-read format for anyone, at any time, seeking a moment of encouragement.
The event release of the book is in conjunction with "National Recovery Month" and is intended to be an inclusive community event composed of invited guests, residents of Trilith and visitors who happen to be in town during the event. There will be an outdoor stage where Luis Banuelos will perform with plenty of green space for guests to mingle, eat and enjoy the event however they wish to engage. There will be a break around 5:00pm for Jason, Anthony, Luis and whomever else would like to speak and share their brief story and testimony.
